Biodynamic Farming and Gardening Association (BDA)
The BDA was formed in the U.S. in 1938. It is a non-profit, membership organization and is open to the public. The association has an educational focus and conducts conferences, workshops and seminars, and also publishes books and a quarterly journal, BIODYNAMICS. Biodynamic agriculture was inaugurated in 1924 by the Austrian scientist, Rudolf Steiner. It is the oldest organic farming movement.

Demeter Association
The Demeter Association was founded in Europe in 1928 to support and promote the Biodynamic agricultural methods that Rudolf Steiner set forth in 1924. It is an independent certification office with branches around that world that assure foods are grown and processed according to specific, rigid standards. The Demeter logos assure these standards in the marketplace, and the term Biodynamic® is a registered trademark. Certified farms and processing factories are visited annually to ensure continued accordance with Demeter certified Biodynamic standards.

Josephine Porter Institute (JPI)
The mission of JPI is to heal the earth through production of quality biodynamic preparations, and to advance education and research in biodynamic agriculture. Gena Nonini, land steward at Marian Farms, is on the Board of Directors of JPI and teaches courses on Biodynamic agriculture through JPI.

Appropriate Technology Transfer for Rural Areas (ATTRA)
ATTRA’s National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service is created and managed by the National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT) and is funded under a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture's Rural Business-Cooperative Service. It provides information and other technical assistance to farmers, ranchers, Extension agents, educators, and others involved in sustainable agriculture in the United States. The Pfeiffer Center
The Pfeiffer Center is dedicated to education, research and outreach in farming, gardening and beekeeping. An important goal is to raise awareness of Biodynamics as the most holistic approach to caring for the land. Named in honor of Ehrenfried Pfeiffer, a research pioneer in Biodynamic agriculture and nutrition, the center cultivates a two-acre Biodynamic garden and offers workshops, apprenticeships and a one-year, part-time gardening course.
